Tim Ryan, the knitwear connoisseur, has accepted to answer some questions for StyleStudio42.com
Tim is an Irish fashion designer, based in London, who has explored knitwear and has taken it to a new level. Knitwear is no longer to be resumed to the jumper you got from your grandma or the tops and gilets you would buy in wintertime because they keep you warm. Thanks to Tim, knitwear has shown to be glamourous, and yes, you can dress up with a total knitwear look as showed by the jumpsuit that we wish we bought 2 seasons ago. According to Tim you can build your entire wardrobe with knits, you should not be limited by the industry traditional conventions. Tim focuses on shapes and structure, his architectural background does surely influence his work. His recent use of colour is to compliment the body and give a twist to this oldish fabric. Knitting remains an artisanal craft, which makes Tim’s creations, pieces to wear and to collect.
